14 year old Schnauzer

My 14 1/2-year-old schnauzer is keeping his tail tucked down most of the time. Why is that?

Sounds like it may be the anal glands need draining, check with vets to be sure.

Hi Mark,
14.5 is a good age for a Schnauzer, you must take great care of him.

Hard to say why his tail is tucked. Is he "scooting?" If so, that is anal glands.
Without knowing more, it's not easy to say.
