8 year old mini won't jump.

My 8 year old mini...has stopped jumping. He does well on walks, goes up and down stairs with no difficulty. He is eating and pooping well. He is a little bit of a "weenie"...doesn't like loud noises...even a stiff wind will scare him. I went to pick him up the other day and he yelped. Since then he will not jump up...used to be a jumping fool. I do notice that his tail is down often and he looks sad.
