cancer and chemo treatment

We have just heard that the lump we had removed from our 6 year old mini's tail is cancer (grade 3)- she is seeing a specialist vet in a few days to have a scan to see if the cancer has spread and whether chemotherapy might be needed. Has anyone else had experience of similar. Thanks

Max has T cell lymphoma when he was 4. There was a lump the size of a black grape on the outside of his anus under his tail. We had it removed immediately - the following day after it had grown for a few days. We had tests which said the cancer was still in his blood. He seemed healthy, we had him tested 3 months later and he was clear! He lived to be 13. Good luck
