Dougie has a limp

My schnauzer dougie is a year old soon. Recently he has a developed a slight limp on his back right leg. He walks normally and wants to play all the time with no obvious pain-it's just when he stops he tries to lift leg a little to stop putting weight on it -I took it to the vet and he was a bit confused, he give him some anti- inflammatory and told us to rest dougie,
I wasn't happy with this - have you got any ideas please.
