What does it mean when your schnauzer puts her paw on your face?

Ours does this too, but only on our arm or hands. It's usually when he wants attention or a cuddle.

Our male does this when he wants me to keep petting him. He is such a lover boy. Also our female does the bump thing when she wants to be petted. it is their way of asking for more love.

My two standards and one mini

All three of mine do this. One actually slaps your face if you tell her to do something she doesn't like and you are sitting down with her. She will also smack my daughters hand if she points at her and tells her no on something she wants or did.

Schnauzer's paw on face

My Mini Schnauzer doesn't do this, but my sister's Shih Tzu does. I agree, it is a sign of "look at me" for attention. My Mini Schnauzer will put her nose under my hand and "bump it up" if I am scratching her ears and I stop. They do have adorable ways to get our attention! Don't you just love it when your dog does that!
