Home offered for older giant Schnauzer, Perthshire 30.06.19

I lost 5 weeks ago my dear Lira. Now I was thinking to give a home to an older Giant. Having had Giant Schnauzers for the last 34 years, living in a country cottage in Scotland, near Perth. I believe I could give a loving home to an elderly dog, that may be has lost his master.
I am aware of all the qualities ( and hiccups) of Schnauzers, their headstrong nature and need to walk and discover new areas, short, to have adventures together that gives a wonderful bond between dog and master.
English is not my mother tongue, so excuse mistakes, but it comes from my heart!

I am sorry for your loss Silvia.
I am looking to rehome my Giant Scnauzer to loving experienced people who understand the breed and temperament.
My Jenni has just turned 9 and is a beauty, fit and good weight. I adore her but I am going to be changing my life due to moving south to be with my new partner and our lifestyle will include much travelling. I don't want Jenni to be put into kennels each time as she is very loving and homely and it would be traumatic for her.
She needs people who understand her nature and will give her plenty of exercise, lots of love and hugs and a good diet. When Jenni was 3 I 'rescued'her from life in a cage for 7 hours a day from a busy woman, she was unkempt, scruffy and badly behaved. I changed her diet, gave her lots of exercise and keep her well groomed, gave her lots of love and she is the most loving dog. She has a slight heart murmur which a lot of GS have but it doesn't affect her.

Pam Ciceri of Northern Schnauzer Rescue(North Yorkshire) has spoken with Carrie and will be co ordinating the finding of a new home, must be an experienced owner of Giant Schnauzers.
He is a big strong dog.

Due to a significant change in our circumstances we our sorry to have to put our 8 year old boy up for adoption.
He is in good health ,only ever visited vet for routine shots etc , he’s neutered, and although 8 years old still has the engeey of a pup ! 😀
You sound as though you are very experienced with giants and all their needs .

Dear Silvia,
Sorry for the loss of your beloved Lira.
We don't have Schnauzers to rehome ourselves, we put people who have one to rehome in touch with those offering a new home. Hopefully somebody in your area will contact you if they are looking for a new home for their Schnauzer.
You could also try Schnauzer Houzer on Facebook, who do a great job of rehoming Schnauzers of all sizes and are always looking for potential adopters.
