Lovely 6-y-o Mini-Schnauzer needs new home - REHOMED!!

(Bristol, UK)

Have a beautiful 6 year old male (all black) Mini Schnauzer that I’m looking to re-Home. He’s KC Registered, microchipped and castrated. Family line includes those who’ve competed at Crufts.

We’ve had him since a puppy but circumstances have changed. A wonderful dog that displays all th characteristics of the breed. Very loyal and loving, definitely a lap dog. Been well trained on/off lead and will return on a whistle.

Just looking for a loving home, not looking to sale. Won’t just be given away though, we are determined to make sure he is moving to the right person(s).

Note to dog lover
by: Linda

Some Schnauzers behave very well with other animals, especially if they have been used to them from an early age. Others not so used to them may want to chase, it depends on the individual Schnauzer. Max was fine with farm animals and brave cats....he would chase a cat, though, if it started to run!

over many years dogs have been great companions. when young: first a cocker spanial, later a miniature poodle. whilst having own family we took to re-homing cairne terriers and each son has expanded on them.we find them not only loving and trusting, very alert, can be obediant but full of energy. my husband and I miss our last cairn, (a bitch) of nearly 15 years and towards the end of her life her energy was considerably less due to age. We are aware that our own energies are not phenomenal but would enjoy shorter walks with a trusting dog. we understand that miniature schnauzers can vary a lot with energy, that they are bread as raters and wonder how they'd fare when visiting a sons farm. the last thing we want is to have a dog unable to cope with animals, and machinary plus be a danger to themselves and others.

Sorry to hear you need to rehome your six-year-old Mini, he sounds lovely.
You are right to wait until the right forever home comes along.. we have many experienced Schnauzer owners looking to rehome, hopefully one will be able to offer him a wonderful forever home.
