Loving home offered, Cheshire, after Poppy's passing 11th April '25

Hi,
I’m looking for a mini schnauzer puppy or a young cat friendly mini. I have had a mini in the past, who sadly died last year at 15yrs, and I have a 2.5yr old mini female, who is very sociable. I’d like a companion for her. My working pattern and my girlfriend’s working pattern means that there is someone to look after the dogs virtually 24/7. We live very close together but my girlfriend has two rag doll cats who are dog friendly and my mini is cat friendly.
I live in Cheshire close to the peaks, I have a large garden and I back on to a park. My mini gets lots of exercise!
So would it be possible to accommodate my request?
Many Thanks

Very sorry for your loss

Dear James, so very sorry to hear of Poppy's passing, she looked lovely.
You must have taken the best care of her, as 15 is a very good age for a Mini Schnauzer.
We don't have Schnauzers to rehome ourselves, we put people who have one to rehome in touch with those offering a new home.
Hopefully somebody in your area will contact you if they are looking for a new home for their Schnauzer.
The co-ordinator for Northern Schnauzer Rescue is Pamela Ciceri.
Her email is: Pamela.ciceri@btinternet.com.
Pamela is based in North Yorkshire but we have found her to be VERY successful in matching rescue Schnauzers with waiting families all over Britain- I recommend you send Pamela an email.
Mini SAS on Facebook helps to rehome Minis.
You can also try The Miniature Schnauzer Club Re-Home and Rescue Trust - contact Caroline Wareing on 01242 696 768.
The Schnauzer Club of Great Britain helps to rehome all three sizes. You can contact them online at https://www.schnauzerclub.co.uk/contact.php
ManyTears Rescue in Wales often has Minis for rehoming as well. www.manytearsrescue.org
There is a Facebook group that might be useful:
Miniature Schnauzer Puppies For Adoption & Rehoming - https://www.facebook.com/groups/171857699226797
Good luck,
Linda
