mini schnauzer pup won't eat every day

I have a 9 month old pup and he won't eat for 3-4 days in a row. I have had him to the vet, but there seems to be no answer. Anyone else have that problem?

Cassie, a salt and pepper female, now three years old, would eat very infrequently. From about 9 months to 18 months she ate only every 2 to 3 days and was very slender.

He mommy tried a dog food supposedly formulated for miniature schnauzers and this did correct the problem.

She is still very petite at 12 pounds, but her energy level etc. did improve greatly. She was the runt.........all of her brothers and sisters are 14 to 18 pounds.
