My eight year old female miniature Schauzer quit eating her dog food when we stop giving snacks, she went from 18 lbs to 16.8, is this a sign of a disease?

Maybe she found the snacks tastier than the meal. Sometimes older dogs just get bored with the same daily food after eating it for so many years. Try mixing a bit of gravy with her meal. If this doesn’t work, mix a bit of chicken or fish with the meal and gravy, it will be a lot tastier for her.
Unless she continues not to eat and loses a lot of weight, I wouldn’t worry.
