My beautiful 8-y-o Morgan sadly needs a new home, Brighton, 5th May 23

by Morgan
(Brighton)

Salt & Pepper mini Schnauzer in need of new home.
Our lovely boy, Gatwick is 8 years old and we have had him from a pup.
He is healthy and lovely, full of beans and a loyal companion. It breaks my heart to be having to re-home him but we had a baby 15 months ago (a miracle baby after being told we would never be able to) and Gatwick is not adjusting at all. He is so stressed at home and we have tried everything we can to try and make it work but I cannot watch him so unhappy & stressed all the time.

He is 8 (birthday is 14th April), never had any health problems, fully vaccinated and up to date with everything (kennel cough, flea, worm, vet checks etc). He does not like water and does not swim. He has always been a solo dog but we have holidayed (camping and cottages etc) with other dogs and its always been ok so I do think he could live with another dog. He could not live with a cat, he seems them as his mortal enemy and spends most days checking the garden perimeter to make sure no cats enter!

He is healthy and strong, me and him run 3 times a week. From birth he has had a small umbilical hernia but the vet has said there is no point in doing anything about it as its never changed. He's had his balls off as a pup.
We live in Brighton, he comes to work with me sometimes and is fine on public transport. On the days he spends at home, we just make sure he has a good walk in the morning and then again at night - but he's very content in his own company and mainly sunbathes.

He is castrated.

I feel he would be best suited to a person or family who don't have small children as he feels intimidated and stressed by their erratic sounds and movements. If you are interested in talking more please reach out. We are at the end of our wits with what to do and it's heartbreaking.

Looking for a Schnauzer
by: Dominic

Up until Easter this year I had two beautiful Schnauzers. One boy and one girl. Sadly the girl schnauzer had kidney problems and passed over the rainbow bridge. Her brother is now lonely and we would love to adopt another Schnauzer who can become his friend.

Very sorry to hear of your dilemma
by: Linda

We will do our best to help. Hopefully one of the experienced owners who visits this website will be able to offer Gatwick a new forever home.
