Nervous Mini on a car ride

What can I do to help my 5-year old Mini Schnauzer enjoy a ride in the car? He starts shaking and drooling the entire time, even on short trips.

My friend had a dog that was nervous and did what your Schnauzer does.. She used to take her on very short car journeys every day.. also played soothing music.. she also fed her dog in the car to get her used to being in it .. and after a while she took to car journeys like a duck takes to water.... My boys jump in my car and love the journeys.. I have also taken mine on the train, which they also love... and are as good as gold...Good Luck.. your dog probably had a bad experience.
