New home sadly needed for 7-y-o female mini in Notts 14.05.18

We are regrettably looking for a new home our for 7-year-old miniature schnauzer, who we have had since she was a puppy.
This has been a heart-wrenching decision but we feel we have no other choice but to place her with someone who can give her the attention she needs and a calmer home life.
She is a lovely and affectionate dog with a good temperament who loves long walks and to play with other dogs. However she has had aggression issues towards strangers (people) since she was about one year old and this has slowly become worse over time.
We now have a 13-month-old baby and she has become aggressive towards him, particularly since he has become mobile, to the point that they cannot be in the same room. We sought professional advice from a dog trainer and have implemented his strategies but this has unfortunately had no effect on her behaviour. She is currently very unhappy as she spends most of the day alone when she has been previously used to lots of attention.
We feel she would be well-suited to an experienced dog owner who has another dog (especially a schnauzer as she loves them) and no children. They would also have to be prepared to be vigilant when out and about near other people (especially if she's off the lead) and also when visitors come to the house.
Please email gemma.ward@gmail.com if you know of anyone who might be able to give her a loving home.
Thank you
