Pooping in house

My 9 year old Schnauzer is pooping in the house behind a chair. How can I stop him from doing this?

Without knowing more details is it difficult to say, Lisa.
Here are some questions:
Has there been a change in your household?
Is he getting outside often enough?
Does he do it at the same time and same place?
How often does he poop and does he do other ones outside.
You have to decide if it is physical (less likely) or behavioural (more likely).
Has anything changed?
You should watch him like a hawk, when you see him going behind the chair, quickly lead or carry him outside to poop outside, then praise him and give him a treat.
It may be that he is upset with you or about something else or has just decided to forget his housetraining. Either way, you need to re-housetrain him and be vigilant so you can catch him BEFORE he does it and get him outside for prasie, etc.
