Schnauzer little energy or appetite

have a 8 year old mini schnauzer that for the last few days has very little energy or appetite but is drinking water a lot any ideas? Used to eat right away

Hi John,
The heat could affect a dog and make him or her like that.
If it's not unduly hot, I would get your dog checked out if it lasts more than a few days as it could be a sign of kidney trouble or other issue. On the other hand, it might just be that he or she is off-colour - but a check up is recommended if the symptoms persist
