Schnauzer making a racket when out

My 10 month male mini Schnauzer makes one hell of a racket when we encounter another dog when out working. It has got worse as he has got older. I am at wits end in trying to resolve the problem. Any advise would be helpful. Many thanks. Glen.

Both of mine get excited and vocal when they are on the lead and met other dogs I make them sit and give them a toy ball to hold then let the other dog walk past then reward them with a treat so far this seems to be helping

Has he had a bad experience with another dog? It sounds like he is barking to ward off the other dogs and this is often a sign of fear.
We are not dog behaviorists but would try distraction techniques as a starter. turn him away from the other dog, talk gently and reassuringly while distracting him with treats.
