Sleepy

My schnauzer is 3 years old and i adopted him yesterday 8/28/14 he's really calm and he usually lays down a lot and sleeps i noticed a bit of heavy panting. He won't poop but he does pee is this normal? Please help I'm worried about Buddy.

If it's warm or your dog is stressed, he will pant. Try and keep him relaxed, it's a big move for him - and make sure he has access to fresh water all the time.
He should start pooping when he feels relaxed.
If he doesn't poop for a couple of days, you need to visit the vet, but this probably won't be the case.
Give him time to settle in and be patient with him.
