standard schnauzer walking in circles

My schnauzer constantly walks around in circles on a daily basis. What is wrong with her?

NOTE FROM LINDA AND MAX:
How old is she?
Does she look like she is confused when she is walking around in circles - or does she seem quite happy?
If she seems confused or disoriented and if she is an older dog, she may have had a slight stroke. Have you noticed any other changes in her behavior?
I think we would get her checked out by the vet to make sure she's OK.

When we had a dog visit us for 2 weeks while his owners were out of town, the dog began to turn in circles. We took him to his family's vet who discovered an ear infection. A few days on an antibiotic and he was fine.

Hope you find the cause soon.

Yes she does have some kidney issues and the vet placed her on a special kidney diet. So she is ok healthwise.

I totally agree with Linda and Max.. My Ringo used to do exactly the same, but only when he was nearly 15 when he passed away.. my vet said it was a sign that he was getting older and unfortunately he was slowing down.. he did not have a stroke.. his organs were gradually deteriorating with age.
Please get her checked.. her kidneys and liver especially.. take a sample of her urine, and get your vet to give her a Blood Test as this will tell you what's wrong.. her protein level may be too high, which is not a good sign..
