Vet Nurse in Kent - experienced home offered to any schnauzer/cross July 2020

by Becky
(Kent)

I am a Registered Veterinary Nurse and experienced schnauzer owner based in Kent. I have great knowledge and experience of canine health conditions and behaviour - health and behaviour problems are not an issue.
My partner and I are looking for any schnauzer or schnauzer cross who is ok with other dogs and we are willing to travel to meet and make sure we are a good fit and they get on with our current dog.

Previous dog owner history:
We currently have an 8 year old neutered male mini schnauzer who we re-homed last year from his previous family. He is epileptic and we have done lots of recall training as he had never been off lead previously.
We recently lost our other mini schnauzer who we adopted from a local rescue centre. He had skin allergies and separation anxiety which we worked hard on and greatly improved.
My family dog was a mini schnauzer who we had from a puppy and she had all the common schnauzer health problems (bladder stones, pancreatitis, skin problems).

About us:
I work part time and am able to take dogs to the vet practice where I work where they will be able to play with other staff dogs. My partner works from home and is able to have the dogs at home with him. I am 26 and Ben is 28, we are very mature for our age and do not want children.

We own a detached 3 bed house with a secure decent sized garden. We live in a small village just outside of Tunbridge Wells, Kent. There are plenty of woods, fields and parks within walking distance of our house and at weekends we like to drive to local beauty spots for dog walks.
My parents only live 10 minutes away and happily look after our dogs when we go on holiday.
If you think we could offer your dog a suitable home and/or have any questions, please contact me by email: becky_watt@hotmail.co.uk

Hi Becky,
We don't have Schnauzers to rehome ourselves, we put people who have one to rehome in touch with those offering a new home. Hopefully somebody in your area will contact you if they are looking for a new home for their Schnauzer,
However, due to the current Coronavirus situation, we are not getting Schnauzers that need rehoming as a lot of people are at home and have time for their dogs.
You can also try The Miniature Schnauzer Club Re-Home and Rescue Trust - contact Caroline Wareing on 01242 696 768.
Or Schnauzer Houzer on Facebook, who do a great job of rehoming Schnauzers of all sizes and are always looking for potential adopters.
Good luck!
