Rather than long walks.. it is better to take him on short ones often as his bones need to develop properly before going on really long hikes.. he is only 5 months so his development and well being is essential.. playing with him in your garden will tire him out too, but get him used to a lead and collar quickly... otherwise he will be too powerful to handle.. try to take him to puppy socialising classes and training ones. These usually start when puppies are 6 months old.. but most of all have fun with him ... post a photos on here if you can..
