white schnauzer growling at husband

We have a lovely white 5 month white schnauzer and of late, my hubby has been growled at on occassions when she gets picked her up.
Any ideas?
She is not silly, if she doesn,t want to go outside when we let her out, she growls etc.

When we brought our adopted MS home she had had a not pleasant previous life. We didn't know exactly the situation, but she was very scared of all men and little boys. She didn't like my husband very much and didn't want to be near him.

Our vet suggested my husband be the one to feed her
all the time, if possible.
Let's just say it worked. Soon, he was the one she cuddles up to at night.

Don't know the reason why your dog growls at your husband, but after our experience, I always say try this trick. The way to most minis hearts is through food.
